Ohhh Very Thin Vogels is all about the contrast! Gotta pair the hot and crispy toast (almost a cracker!) with something soft and cool: tomato or avocado always good, mashed banana sprinkled with cinnamon if you’re sweet, a smushed boiled egg from the fridge (boiled last night just for this ofc) with some Tapatio, or my special childhood favourite (from when they sold Vogels in slice-your-own bricks!) which is leftover mashed potatoes with heaps of pepper.

Ooh the cracker analogy makes this make more sense, and the ratio thing. Mashed potatoes on toast sounds amazing.

Love Vogels extra thin. It means I can have two pieces of toast, two eggs and various other toppings (such as pickles and herbs and Lao Gan Ma) without feeling like I'm going to burst. My flatmates all think I'm weird but they eat it too...

With thin bread you can also get an excellent cheese-to-bread ratio...

Lee’s descent into mall brand anonymity (kinda oxymoronic?) is kinda sad - they’ve made some of the most iconic denim items of all time such as the storm rider, yet haven’t hit the balance Levi’s has when it comes to remaining in the cultural cachet yet still printing money for their investors :’(

Ikr. An amazing old (1980s???) Lee add played before The Surfer at the Hollywood this week. Honestly they’re due for a revival — and could suss it I reckon — especially the coloured topstitching on dark denim era.
